This month we are so excited to have Margaret LoBionco join us. Don't miss it! On Friday, Margaret will be teaching us some fun techniques using her pattern, Pink Lady. Margaret will have some kits for purchase at the meeting.

Our May speaker will be presenting a workshop called Ahead of the Curve: Improv Curves. She specializes in scrap quilts. The supply list is located in the Bylaws and Forms Section of the website. You can purchase a ticket for the class on the Event Calendar. There is a pattern needed for the class and you can purchase at the meeting for $10.00.

Hi Louise,
I wanted to take a moment and thank you and the Ladies of the Lakes Quilters for the beautiful quilts. I know you saw the stack of the other donated quilts, but unfortunately most of those are lap-size or for children and we really needed more large-size adult ones—exactly what you provided with the four quilts from March and January. I’m dropping them off tomorrow to their new owners who I know will get much joy from them.
We are grateful for your donation and ongoing support.

Our Spring Retreat was a Smashing Success!
|
We had such fun! We had amazing demos from Joyce, Donna and Diane. We visited a quilt shop, had high tea (thank you Joyce, Sharon and Donna) made aprons, traded mug rugs, showered gifts on our secret sisters, raced to the finish with crazy blocks and had a white elephant gift exchange in our pajamas! In between we sewed our own projects. What a week! So fun. If you want to see some of the fun, look in the gallery section of the website for photos! SAVE THE DATE FOR NEXT YEAR. April 28-May 1, 2025

|
I’m Diane Harris—a quilter who loves everything about the process and enjoys sharing it with others. I’ve been sewing for almost 50 years and quilting for three decades. For 11 years, I was an editor for Quiltmaker magazine where I wrote patterns, product reviews and how-to articles.

Aurola Lowell Charter
|
Aurola is our guest speaker for June. Her quilts have won her ribbons in many quilt competitions incuding Paducah, KY. Her techniques are outstqnding and innovative. The quilts have been featured in quilt magazines and she is the designer and inventor or the game Quiltopoly, a take on the game Monopoly.
