Our 2025 guild challenge is BLACK/WHITE plus ONE color or your choice. This can take any form you like and any size you want. It can be a quilt, bag, wearable art, wall hanging, etc. The sky is the limit. The only guidelines are you can only use black, white and one color of your choice.

2025 RETREAT OPPORTUNITIES

Day Retreat at the Fabric Warehouse. January 27-February 1, 2025 Daily 9-4. Bring your own project and enjoy social sewing with your fellow quilters. Cost is $10 a day paid directly to Fabric Warehouse. There are spots left, so sign up NOW on the Events Calendar. Don't miss out.

April 28-May 1 2025 SPRING RETREAT at DaySpring Conference Center. Deposits are now being taken ONLINE ($100) Cost is $375 double occupancy and $485 single occupancy. You can pay in full, or make a $100 deposit to save your spot. Total due by February guild meeting (February 20, 2025) Theme is ENCHANTED FAIRY GARDEN.

Get your tickets now for our Ladies Luncheon. They are available on the website under the events calendar or for cash/check at the guild meeting. You won't want to miss this. These gowns are exquisite and the history and stories shared will truly be an enjoyable afternoon. NOTE: This program is NOT about planning a wedding, this is an actual presentation of vintage gowns through the years. You really don't want to miss this. Invite your friends and fill a table.

Ladies and gentlemen we set a new all time, amazing, mind blowing record for donating quilts in 2024:

Donations went throughout Polk County to:
Academy Achievement,One More Child (formerly Baptist Children’s Home) Cornerstone Hospice Dream Center Good Shepherd Hospice Lakeland Police Department Peace River Center Polk County Sheriff’s Office Pregnancy Care Center Veterans Hospital in Tampa Vietnam Veterans Vitas Hospice Watson Clinic (Breast Surgery center) Give Kids the World SPCA.
Additionally we donated 11 heart pillows to the Watson Clinic Breast Surgery center and 45 pillowcases to Give the Kids the World.

ROAD TRIP! Time for AQS Daytona Quilt Show. It's time to go check out the fabulous quilts in Daytona at the AQS Quilt Show! Tickets are $65.00 and this includes your bus trip, driver tip and admission into the show! We will be leaving at 7:30 am from Winn Dixie located at 6600 N. Socrum Loop, Lakeland, and leaving Daytona for the return trip at approximately 3:00 in the afternoon. We need 35 people to make this happen, so don't hesitate to sign up on the website.

Meet our Guest Speakers/Upcoming Guild Meetings
|
|
|
|
Mike Ellingsen is a retired music and drama teacher who has been quilting since the late 1980s. He is known for his love of color and
his excellent quilting on his domestic machine - although seven years
ago he did upgrade to a Bernina Q-20. He teaches and presents trunk
shows for guilds in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin, as well
as presentations at the State Show of the Minnesota Quilters and in
Alexandria, Virginia.

Mike will be presenting a workshop of one of his patterns, Chevron Sunset.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Mary is the author of the Quilts with Depth applique book series published
on Amazon. Her books teach how to construct beautiful 3D Art Quilts by
adding dimension with notions and special techniques. She resides in
Florida and presents her Trunk Show and Workshops to national and
international quilt guilds.
