December 6, 2025-Deadline to get in your Quilt Show Quilt Registration Form. It is the same day as the December Christmas party. Forms can be turned in at the party. Important to note that this is just the forms that are due, not your quilts. If you are still working on the quilt and need a photo, you can use the photo of your pattern, or your quilt top.

Cards were sent this month to Shirley Bath (She is recovering from neck surgery) and to the family of Mary Jeannine Davis in sympathy for her passing.

This month's fat quarter drawing is Halloween/Purples.Bring in a fat quarter, and if your ticket is drawn, you go home with a fat quarter bundle. See Diane Bishop at the back table to turn in your fat quarter(s). Fat Quarter drawing for November is Holiday colors.

OPPORTUNITY TICKETS
Time is ticking down for you to pick up your Opportunity Quilt tickets from Marcie. They are $25 for 30 tickets and are located at the back table. We ask each member to sell $25 worth. You don't want to miss out on a chance to win this beautiful quilt, or give your friends and family the opportunity to take home "Orange you a Swan Lover".

Thank you to all of our chairs and volunteers for a great kickoff meeting. Our 2026 Quilt Show will be here before you know it and we are getting ready. Sharon Kennedy will be asking for volunteers to work the show, so please sign up.

ADOPT A BASKET
sign up to provide a basket of goodies to go in our Quilt Show. The sky is the limit on themes for your basket. Don't forget, if you don't want to sponsor an entire basket, you can donate items to go in the baskets. Our goal is 25 baskets and so far we have 8. You have until the November meeting to sign up.

2026 Quilt Show Forms, Guidelines and Categories are available both here, on the website and at the meetings. Now is the time to be planning on what quilts you would like to display and/or have judged.

A BIG thank you to Michelle Lay for her talk last month on Yoga Stretches. It was fantastic. If you missed it, or would like a demonstration of the stretches, Michelle has a video on our member only Facebook Page.

Inheriting a love of sewing from my grandmother and mother, I have always enjoyed experimenting with all kinds of arts and crafts, from painting to smocking to embroidery, and most recently, to quilting. I love fabric, have way too much of it, (not enough!) but truly enjoy working with it and seeing all of the possibilities it offers my creative soul.

|
Continuing a family legacy of quilting for over 25 years, Emma Jane has tried it all, and she loves every (almost) step of the quilting process. A career public school teacher for many years, she jumped ship after having a baby in her 40s during the pandemic, and now teaches quilting for guilds, shows, and local quilt stores. She studied Spanish in high school and college and has traveled to numerous Spanish speaking countries. Her love of travel has influenced her appreciation for craft art.

Annual Christmas Party at Mount Olive Shores North

I can't believe it's almost here! Christmas! We celebrate every year with a wonderful brunch and this year is no different. Tickets are now on sale on our website. Go to the events calendar to get yours. Cost is $35.00. Our annual yearly challenge is voted on at the party. The challenge is listed below, if you need a reminder. We will also be exchanging Christmas Ornaments this year. This is a voluntary exchange. If you would like to participate, bring a wrapped ornament to the party. There is no December Meeting.

Our 2025 guild challenge is a simple one this year. It is color related. You can use black, white and one color. It can be anything. Any size. It can be a quilt, a bag, a wall hanging, a doll, wearable art or anything you desire. The only rules are you can only use black/ white and one color. The challenge will be voted on at the December Christmas party.

Fall Day retreat at the Fabric Warehouse has three spots left. To Sign up on the website, go to the Events calendar. Click on the event and RSVP. You do not have to commit to every day, sign up and come when you can.

Featherweight Circle News
|
Note the date change for October due to a conflict at the Fabric Warehouse. We are meeting October 15th. For the month of October, we will be working on our own projects and looking forward to meeting in November to work on the market bag that Joyce has brought to the group in the past. The pattern and instructions will be coming soon. This group is open to all members with Featherweights. Please check the events calendar on the website to RSVP for each month. That is where you will also find more information for each month.
